Privacy Policy

Pay Once: Workout Tracker is made by Origamies LLC. This policy is short because the app does very little with your data.
The short version
- You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive only what those sign-ins provide by default: a name and an email address. We never ask you for anything else about you.
- Your workouts are stored under your account so they follow you between phones. That is the only thing we store beyond your sign-in.
- We never sell or share your data. There is nothing to sell.
- You pay once. The app is a paid download handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete your account, and everything stored under it, from inside the app at any time.
What we store
- Your account. When you first open the app it creates an anonymous account so your workouts can be saved before you sign in. When you sign in with Apple or Google, that anonymous account becomes your account. Sign in with Apple gives us your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide your email). Sign in with Google gives us your name, email address, and profile picture. The app shows your email address on the account screen. We use this information to identify your account and for nothing else.
- Your workouts. The exercises you create, the muscles you tag them with, and every workout you log: sets, reps, weight, dates and times, and any workout tags. Also your unit preference (pounds or kilograms). This is what makes the app work, and it is stored so you get it back on a new phone or after a reinstall.
That is the complete list. No location, no photos, no contacts, no health data from Apple Health, nothing from other apps.
Where it is stored
Your account and workouts are stored in Google Firebase, a service run by Google LLC, on servers in the United States. Firebase handles sign-in and holds your data on our behalf under Firebase's privacy terms. Firebase does not use your data for its own purposes. Your data is stored under your account only, and the app can read and write your own data only.
What else leaves your phone
Two things. Neither includes your workouts or anything that identifies you to us.
- Ad measurement through Meta. We advertise the app on Facebook and Instagram. To know whether those ads work, the app includes Meta's software development kit (SDK). It reports to Meta that the app was installed and opened, along with basic device information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and IP address. We have turned Meta's tracking setting off. The app never asks for permission to track you, never accesses your advertising identifier, and never sends Meta your workouts, your sign-in details, or anything you do inside the app beyond opening it. Meta's handling of this data is described in Meta's privacy policy.
- Apple's ad attribution. If you installed the app after seeing an ad, Apple's operating system may send the ad network an anonymous, aggregated signal that an install happened. This comes from Apple, not from the app, and contains no identifier for you or your device.
Signing in with Apple or Google also sends the usual sign-in request to Apple or Google, which is covered by Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
What we don't do
- No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone. The only parties that ever hold it are Google Firebase, which stores it for us, and Meta, which gets the install signal described above.
- No ads inside the app.
- No reading of your workouts by us. We look at your data only if you email us asking for help with your account.
Deleting your account
Open the account screen in the app and choose to delete your account. This permanently deletes your account and every workout, exercise, and tag stored under it. It cannot be undone. If you signed in with Apple, the app also tells Apple to disconnect the app from your Apple ID.
If you delete the app without deleting your account, your data stays stored so it is there when you sign in again. Email us if you want it removed without reinstalling.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If any of this changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
